Hank here!

I'm hosting a ski retreat disguised as a developer marketing conference.

And it’s a damn good disguise.

We'll spend a couple days at a mountain resort and walk away with a new understanding of developers, a couple new friends to talk shop with, and take a few tactics back to work to improve adoption and revenue growth.

I think the old adage is roughly true: "you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." So I'm gathering people who are great at developer marketing because there's no better way to raise our ability than doing it together.

Yeah, I'll prepare the best workshops I've ever done, but, in my opinion, the greatest source of improvement and learning is always from spending more time with other great people.

I'm inviting you to come open to connecting with other ambitious people.

Not just transactional BS like "hey let's collab on this campaign", but real connections that will persist for your career. People who pick up your calls to talk shop (and life).

So what's the plan?

AGENDA

Arrive Tuesday, Feb 3:

  • Check in to the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, UT. Your ticket includes two nights.

  • My assistant will greet you with swag bags any time from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

  • Conference room w/ desks+wifi opens at noon for co-working if needed.

  • Lifts close at 4pm.

  • Workshops start at 4:30pm.

  • Then dinner, then drinks. Probably squeezing a panel in between.

Wednesday, Feb 4:

  • Breakfast 8am-9pm ("morning marketing morsel" at 8:15am).

  • Conference room open all day if you need a desk.

  • Lifts close at 4pm.

  • Workshops start at 4:30pm.

  • Then dinner, then drinks, with another panel squeezed in.

  • If enough are interested, a poker game.

Thursday, Feb 5:

  • Breakfast 8am-9pm. Final talk & thank you at 8:15am.

  • Check out of your room by 11am. If staying for the day, you can keep your bags in the conference room under supervision of my assistant.

  • Conference room open all day if you need a desk.

  • Lifts close at 4pm.

>BOOK HERE< or >TALK TO ME FIRST<

Price = $1,776. My financial goal is to break even; all profits (if any) go to swag!

  • Conference ticket = $600

  • Accommodations = $1,176 (two nights at Cliff Lodge)

  • Meals & swag included

While I don't know that I'll do an event like this again, I can promise you'll learn at least one thing and meet at least one person that makes it worth the trip. And you'll have fun, which seems to be underrated these days.

FAQs

What’s the daily vibe?
Ski during the day (we’ll coordinate some groups), work from the hotel when you need to, and regroup for workshops, dinner, and drinks.

What if I don’t like skiing or snowboarding?
Full spa, heated pool, large hot tubs, and great restaurants. Oh and a coworking space if you work for a living.

Will I actually learn anything?
Yes. Workshops are tactical with real takeaways you can apply the next week.

Is the hotel included? Where are we staying?
Yes. Two nights at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird are included.

What’s not included?
Travel, gear, lift tickets (IKON passes are accepted), and lunch (most people will be on the mountain during lunch time, but we'll have breakfast and snacks).

Agenda? When should I arrive/depart?
Check in Tuesday Feb 3. Checkout Thursday Feb 5. First workshop Tuesday at 4:30pm with dinner after. If you arrive early Tuesday and leave late Thursday you can ski three days ;)

Detailed agenda coming soon.

Who’s attending?
Mostly marketers and some founders and operators from devtool and AI companies. All vetted.

What if I need to take calls?
The conference room stays open all day with desks and wifi. Rooms have desks too, and plenty of spaces for calls around the hotel.

Can I extend my stay?
If you want extra ski days or more time at the Cliff Lodge, email my assistant abigail@growthsprint.app. Space is limited.

Refund policy?
Full refund before Christmas or if we can replace you filled. 50% refund if cancelled before Jan 10.

Can I share my room?
If you want to share your room with someone who will be joining workshops or meals, please email abigail@growthsprint.app and we'll figure out a steep discount for them. If you've got someone tagging along just to ski/spa then no worries (we just won’t let them in workshops, feed them, or give them swag).

Can I get a discount?
If it gets you there then definitely. Trying to just break even on this. If there’s profit, it goes toward swag (ideas welcome).

Is there a poker game Wednesday night?
If there’s interest.

Can I bring a teammate?
You should!

Can I sponsor this?
I'm being very picky with sponsors, but would like some so we can get some sick swag. Contact me: hank@growthsprint.app.

Rage Bait and Technical SDRs

A startup spent half its preseed on a Nordic sauna office and turned it into pure rage bait. We break down why attention without a real product or halfway decent website is a waste, and how to time fundraise announcements so they actually help you. Then we get into technical SDRs (AKA Product Advocates) and technical AEs/sellers, how to source and comp them, and why the future of selling devtools looks a lot more like sales engineers than classic AEs. Plus, a quick invite-only peek at the Code to Market Summit at Snowbird.
